  • Fully mature and hitting all strides at once. Gorgeous bouquet of smoke of minerals Earth Cedar spice tobacco leather. Concentrated and complex with lots of cedar, mineral, tobacco, leather, smoke, Earth flavors but yet with some good fruit. Long finish. Beautifully balanced. This is really drinking beautifully now and for that reason I would recommend drinking it up. I don't think it's going to fall apart anytime soon but now in the next couple of years is the time to hit its unique characters that it has to offer. After that it will start to probably turn into a generic older board up and last longer but not be as interesting and unique as it is now. Delicious wine.

  • Unlike the last 2 bottles which were starting to hit their peak, this one is more youthful and backward. Still impressive. Dark color. Sweet earth, spice, peppers on the bouquet. On the palate, concentrated and complex with good fruit but also lots of tannins and acidity. Smoke, earth, minerals (Lots), gravel, earth. Long finish. Drinkable now, this bottle begs for a couple more years of ageing. Drink now to 2026, possibly longer

  • Incredible. Great concentration and complexity. This is really entering its window drinkability and is hitting on all cylinders. Smoke, earth, graphite, cedar, dark fruits with good concentration and complexity. Definitely a must try.

  • Really hitting its prime and drinking beautifully now. A delicious earthy dark fruit complex concentrate wine. With some smoke minerals Earth. Great balance. Long finish. Super smooth. Despite it's hefty price tag it is quite nice. Drink now and over the next couple of years. I don't think it will fall apart anytime soon but it just drinks so well now one might as well enjoy it. This should easily last until age 15.

  • 94-95. Starting to enter its window of drinking well. Dense dark purple color with dark ruby edges. Gorgeous concentrated bouquet of cassis, blueberry, blackberry, raspberry, dark fruits, perfume with a velvety nature. On the palate, concentrated with sweet ripe dark fruits, cassis, smoke, velvet, dark raspberry, dark strawberry concentrated fruit flavors. The 50/50 blend of merlot and cabernet franc beautifully complement each other. The cabernet franc elevates this to majestic complex levels. Can drink now, but will likely improve over the next year or two. Best from 2023-2029, possibly longer. Truly amazing. Worth its hefty price tag. Too bad its not been made since as far as I'm aware

  • Very dark color. Intense tripe Cassis Berry BlackBerry bouquet. On the palate it is dense and concentrated with layers of fruit and extraction. There are still a lot of tannins in this wine. Intense concentrated flavors of Cassis blackberry and blue fruits. I may try again soon but I think it needs a couple more years of age to hit its peak which it should stay on for quite some time

  • (decanted 6 hours): really enjoyable, incredible and perfumed bouquet on the nose(I couldn't get my nose out of the glass), rich cherries, raspberry, & black cherries, white pepper, some herbs, green bell pepper, eucalyptus, wet forest and plenty of earth, mineral, lavender floral aromas as well...on the mouth the 50/50 blend of merlot & cab franc displays in a very special & unique way, very feminine and elegant but with delicious & distinct fruit structure, good acid and fine, powerful mouth coating tannins that while still astringent are not overpowering the fruit in any way ( a sign of how velvety and silky this wine will be w some more age)While the mouth, particularly mid palate & finish was slightly shallow for me, the delicious/unique fruit and overall great balance made up for it..I literally had to slow myself while drinking it enjoyed each sip so much. Paired w steak, the tannins and acid cut right through for an awesome pairing. Exhausted some self control to save a little for next day and tannins softened a little more...this is a feminine wine w finesse and elegance, still very very young and will continue improving in next few years...drink 2019 - 2025. if you have this wine along with some bigger and bolder wines it wont do it justice. Also if you like your wines big & bold you might not love this.

  • This is a classic Saint Emilion blend, The wine is 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc, it is the first vintage from this winery.

This wine is now slowly opening, it used to be closed as a drum, The nose starts to open with ripe fruit, loamy dirt, ethereal forest floor, and red fruit perfume – what a lovely experience of watching wine open. The mouth on this medium plus wine follows classic French style, no hammering fruit, no fruit forward issues here, but to be fair it also requires you to take notice of more subtle intonations and characteristics. Here the wine is not a wallflower. The mouth on this medium plus bodied wine is rich and ripe with blackberry, cassis, ripe black plum, lovely black cherry, and tart raspberry, all wrapped up in nice mouth coating tannin that does not give up. Clearly, the star of the show is the tannin and loamy dirt, but the fruit and oak add to the wine’s complexity, that helps round the mouth and adds depth to its meaning. The finish is a bit short but does lengthen with time, with classic French balance, great acid, mineral, graphite, chocolate, more dirt that mingles with tart red fruit, leather, and tobacco to make for a long lingering wine. It is a nice wine, but not overly complex
