ripe, jam-packed and voluptuous. tons of petite verdot.
fun wine that really does smell like a young old-world bdx blend. clearly "modern" winemaking from old world. pretty generic beyond that but zero complaints. it's delicious.and true to form
red plum, cassis, raspberry=great fruit profile. no real Italian funk, but earth and slight medicinal aspects
full-bodied, moderate acid, medium minus tannin.
drinking fantastically. wouldn't hold this longer hoping for positive development... it's just gonna turn to goop.

Blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40 % Petit Verdot and the rest Cabernet Franc. So called modern Italian wine out of French grapes. Very interesting and wort to try. Intense with rich ans complex bouquet. Well balanced and structured with good finish.

Dark. Still showing it's oak. Dark berry fruit. Very good in it's own right, but it could have been from anywhere. The last bottle showed more detail and personality. Not as wonderful as the 2008 iteration, but still very good and enjoyable. 90

I have not been adding public notes the past couple of years but i felt this bottle warranted it. PnP, complex nose of baklava (honey) and tomato. Palate was less vegetal and more blood, iodine, sun ripened fruit. Slightly cloudy plum color. Insane balance, perfect harmony of acid and body with nothing out of place. I drink good wine pretty much every week and this was the first time in awhile that i was taken aback by the experience. Definitely peaking now with maybe 1-2 years holding steady.

Some impressions from memory of earlier today.... Red fruit and flowers on the nose. Tart red fruit on the palate. Had two bottles with our Christmas celebration. The first bottle we drank I decanted just over an hour. The second a few hours longer. I liked the first bottle better as I felt the depth of flavor subsided with longer exposure to air.. So for 2022, I recommend a 1 hour decant.

Moderate sediment. Decanted and rebottled three hours later. Notes taken on day two. Bright crimson color to the edges. Lovely nose of cherries, roses and cedar. Lively on the medium-bodied palate with flavors of cherries, strawberries, and licorice, and balanced by fine tannins. Medium-length finish. Overall, a delightful wine with a reasonable QPR at $50/bottle.

really drinking well at the moment. Highly perfumed with rose and cherries on the nose with a balanced and long finish with a nice blend of bright acidity and good red fruit with polished tannins. Has many years still ahead of it.

Carafé 3h, bu avec un Osso Bucco et j’en reviens au même constat. Beau nez italien, bouteille qui plait à beaucoup de gens. Pas le vin avec le plus de profondeur et longeur, mais procure un certain plaisir. C’est bien!

Very pleasant overall. I recommend a two hour decant to allow the initial tartness to moderate. This wine seemed to me to be an attractive medium bodied alternative to the larger reds I often default toward. Balanced, nice assorted dark fruit, solid tannins and fairly long finish.

Decanted for two hours. Currant paste, blackberry, basil pesto, creosote, plumeria and chocolate cake. Ostentatiously long and sound, with sweet cotton tannins. As the layers unfold, there’s a rush of sultry red fruit. Very statuesque, the cellar calls. A well-detailed Bordeaux blend, with depth and plenty of bone. Drink 2019 - 2029.

This opaque ruby, hedonistic elixer is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Petit Verdot and 20% Cabernet Franc. It is a full-bodied, freshly acidic offering that is packed with blue and black fruit. Accented with cedar, dark chocolate and pipe tobacco, it has impressive mid-palate density, well-integrated alcohol (14.5%) and equally well-integrated oak. Finishing with good length and substantial tannic grip, this is an outstanding Super Tuscan that is structured for the long haul. Drink 2019-2030.

I expected more from this bottle. The fruit never really come on the foreground and not the best balanced wine.

Upon 20-30 minutes open time the acidity has balanced and the lighter style of cab presented more fruit forward characteristics.

Great Wines of Italy with James Suckling (Moore Building, Miami, FL): Strong Supertuscan with nice bouquet and medium body with firm acidity to juxtapose it. Quite enjoyable.

Too young but very very good. Plum, blackberry. Nice long finish with great balance between oak and fruit. Probably a 93+ in 2-3 years
