Our final bottle, perhaps held a little too long or perhaps just variation as a wine ages. Notes of bruised apple on the nose and palate suggesting just a little bit of oxidation. Not undrinkable, as there are flashes of fresher fruit here and there, along with a nice little streak of minerality. Okay; nothing more. I wouldn't want to hold these any longer.

Premoxed and poured down the drain. The high ratio of flawed wines is why I stopped buying Cameron. Had high hopes but alas twas not to be - devoid of fruit or any real character.

Popped and poured. Solid bottle right from the get go, but really started to elevate as it warmed slightly from cellar temperature. Nose of honey, lime, wet rock and biscuit dough. Flavors jumped all over the place with notes of green apple, mild blue cheese, vanilla infused whipped cream. The palate had both a weighty viscosity as well as a laser focused acidity to keep it luxurious without being overblown. Finish lasted a good minute. Would purchase again.

Beautiful showing again. Aromatic bliss honey, apricots, crushed stones, flowers. Rich textural dynamics but crisp, laser-like focus and acidity. Lovely fruit, tons of mineral/floral tones. This bottle was drained quickly, but would've been awesome to save some for day 2. Poured this for a wine friend who'd never had a Cameron before - might've made another convert.

Nose: very tensile and nervous, it shows the youth. Big stone and lime, high toned and streaky. Palate: full bodied, honeyed and acidic at the same time and in nice harmony. Despite the weight, the wine isn't buttered. Limestone and lemon grass, a bit smokey with a little wet pavement. Secondary herbal notes with nice spearmint. With extended air, apricot and sea brine emerge. This is just a baby and in 5-10 years will be something truly impressive.

Magnum Fest (Weygandt Wines - Washington, D.C.): Another killer 2013 from Cameron. So young, but I love tasting Cameron Chards in their voluptuous youth. Smells gorgeous: apricot, yellow apple, lime juice, nougat and honeysuckle. This wine has precise acidity that perfectly balances out the rich texture. Apples, apricot, lime and some peach (gorgeous, pure fruit), with notes of almond, vanilla bean, honeyed tea and limestone dust. Just a tad below the Clos Electrique in complexity (and cellar potential, I think) but a wonderful wine. I'd like to retaste in three years.

Had in a mini vertical of the Cameron Clos Electrique, it was noticeably different but didn't stick out by any means. The similar bright citric acids, mulch, wheat, flowers and fresh vanilla bean but more weight and texture.

A very nice wine that showed very well upon pulling the cork. On the second day lumber overshadowed the fruit and terroir. This does not have the same substance as the CE, which makes long-term cellaring questionable. The wine can and probably should rest for three to five years. 91-92.

Generous on the nose but don't be fooled. It's very focused with good acidity and minerality. Long finish too.

Second Sunday Group: 2015 Chianti Classico Riservas (Eagle Brook CC): Blind. Apple and stone notes. Apple and lemon curd on the palate, the fruit is forward and quite nice. Nice veins of citrus and mineral cutting through. Very nice.
