  • Russk. Gamey. But I ultimately grew bored.

  • Again an amazing wine without the over the top nature of some Aussie Shiraz wines. Nice minerality, funk, raspberries and white pepper. Northern Rhone like for sure.

  • One of the best Aussie wines in the last five years. Floral, good acidity, underbrush, raspberries and medium to long finish. Good acidity and balanced wine. Awesome!

  • Day 1: Good acidity and vibrant flavors. Rustic with raspberries, floral, underbrush and spice. Nice balanced effort and no off elements to this wine. Medium plus finish. 91 points
Day 2: Again good acidity. Rustic wine featuring floral, raspberries, boysenberries, underbrush, twigs and spice. Medium plus finish and rock solid again. 91 points
Day 3: Wow getting some Northern Rhone funk, spice, underbrush, raspberries and minerals. Medium plus finish and picks up some white pepper. Good acidity. Did this sky rocket up the point scale. 93 to 95.
Recommendation: Hold this until 2022. Had I not save this for 2 plus days I would have never got the evolution. Outstanding value for only $11 on my 3 Day Wine Review email blast. Only one smart wine drinker took advantage of this deals as I was happy to pick up the remaining bottles.

  • Day 1: Very interesting wine and enjoyable. White pepper, funk, sour cherries, black tar, match stick and floral notes. Very acidic and medium plus finish. Complex and multilayered finish. An excellent wine. 93 points
Day 2: White pepper, sour fruits, floral and stone. A bit of a transformation from day 1. Medium finish and not as intense. 88 points
Recommendation: Pop and pour and drink on day 1. Drink over the next year on these as they will not cellar. Very enjoyable and peaking now.

  • Big Top Closeout Deal Wines; 11/22/2018-2/24/2019 (Minneapolis/ St. Paul MN): Day 1: Pepper, spice, funk and sour fruits. Good acidity and a rare quality in an Aussie Shiraz which is sour on the finish. Light to medium concentration and love the funky nature of the wine. Drink by itself or good pairing with ribs or steak. Really nice find. 89 points
Day 2: Pepper, spice, raspberries and strawberries. On the palate shows nice complexity and good acidity. Almost refreshing. Shorter to medium finish. Balanced and an exciting new find. 90 points
Day 3: Even better. White pepper, gravel, raspberries, floral and Asian spices. Medium plus finish and good acidity. This is such a great find as I have never heard of this producer but will be seeking out more of their wines. 91 points
Recommendation: I would cellar these for a few years and try from 2020 to 2025. Very solid!
