This rose shows a serious side. Complex flavors of strawberry, lemon/lime, cranberry, and a touch of leafy greenness mounted in a crisp frame of acidity. Exceptionally persistent finish.

This is another wine that happens to be of pink color, but totally defies the category of rose. It is not a mindless summer drinking rose, this is a rather serious (if not quite Domaine Tempier). Overall fresh and balanced, but rather reserved and with a very pronounced steely acidity. This is a light food wine and it really shines with food. Good, but very likely better with more time.

Another bottle a few weeks after going through a case--see below. This was much less expressive and rather muted, though all correct. I think these probably need time (a couple of months) in the bottle to settle and show.

Pale salmon in the glass. Fresh cranberry aroma. Somewhat austere and steely on the palate, hints of vegetal cab franc fruit but not much. Good seafood wine, not so much a summer quaffer.

Nice and classic Chinon rose, medium body, dry, and silken texture. Not a lot of fruit just yet. Opened a case for a dinner party and all btls consistent and correct. Will get more to see how it ages over the year.

Very pale pink. Quite lean and brisk on the palate, lots of acid and minerality.

Dry and juicy. Perfect summer wine with soft shell crabs on FathersDay
