Good value, lower tier Brunello. Drank most of it after a 2 hour open in bottle. Meant to save one glass for next day, didn't get to it until 48 hours later. Wish I had gotten to it sooner. Not sure where I got this bottle from. Paired well with veal saltimbocca.

This 2012 was an auction buy at $33, about the price of a CCR. A boutique producer since 1973. Drinking well at 10 years. Dominatrix leather, oak, dusty cherry, tobacco. Nice length of finish. Missing some structure and intensity of flavors to rate higher but a solid Brunello.

Good, traditionally styled Brunello wine. Classic aromas and flavors, with a medium body, avg>avg+ freshness, good balance. There's some good soil, and brush/mushroom characteristics here that marry nicely to the cherry and red berry fruit; a touch of spice and tobacco with some air. Tannins need a few more years to settle, and the acids/fruits seem willing and able to make the wait. ~ 20 days on the skins in stainless, then 20/30hl casks. A good value. Drink 2019-2027. recommended
