Decanted, quite solid tannins yet and needed 30 min to soften, good amount of sediment. Color is dark with a little brick on the edge, matured Brunello aromas, vibrant and silky, leather, tobacco, meaty, nice depth with mouthh watering finish. Pristine bottle - bought from that wonderfull shop ''Enoteca Antica Latteria'' in San Gimignano an year ago.

A light crimson showing its age with tan edges. Quite rustic on the nose, with more twigs, brush, dust, and rose, than fruit. Very reserved cherry fruit that opened only slightly over time. Rural and dusky overall. Finishes dry with noticeable, firm tannins.

Some funk and game on the nose. Rubber and leather, smooth with a long finish. Had aged nicely. Big, chewy, excellent with spicy meat. Black cherry fruit.

Still fairly youthful in appearance. Very (almost excessively) woody nose that improves some with a lot of air -- picks up anise and the fruit pops through a bit. Woodiness less prevalent on the palate and the overall taste is of fairly typical (albeit somewhat new-worldy) Brunello. Good balance of fruit, oak, chalky tannins. Missing a bit on the acidity front. Good overall and better over several hours of air.

no point, as it was opened and served. Unbelievably tannic, and not showing much fruit. Even after half an hour in the glass it was totally shut down and not wanting to deliver what ever else than the massive tannin. Oh well, we were at one of the situation where decanting was not possible... The food came and it was much better with the solid dishes.... Really not much depth nor material to show much better in a few years though...

Appearance: medium deep purple red with beginning brick-red tones. Brown rim. Aroma: dark and ripe cherries, leather, licorice, earth, cedar and a hint of nicely integrated oak. Full-bodied and meaty Brunelo with good acidity and big but available tannins. Ripe and dark cherries, earth, licorice and oak on the palate. Very good balance and excellent length.
Brilliant Brunello, already available, but decant for 2 hours minimum. -Or keep for many years... Did I say wow?!? (94+?)

Deep purple color. Great bouquet with subtle fruits in the nose. Amazing(!) taste. I had this wine about 2 years ago already, and it was no comparison with the wealth of flavors that opened up this time. Satin taste, with a certain sweetness (obviously the wine is almost tart, but it had a subtle sensation of sweets). Well rounded, without missing the tannic bite. Cocoa, dark berries, leather. This one was amazing!

Very good Brunello, but in need of serious aeration at this stage. It needs 4 hours in the decanter to reveal its darker, smoother side and blow off a bit of the wooden tones that are not yet integrated. After the aeration it comes across with deep fruit and a series of complex aromatics, including exotic spices, wet earth, leather, orange zest and a bit of cinnamon. Drink now and in the next 10 years.

Dark crimson in the glass with aromas of dust and dried flowers followed by Cherry, clove and a bit of cocoa. Like Satin on the palate showing flavors of strawberry and cedar. Earthy with a bit of spice on the finish with a tannic bite. Finishes medium-long. An excellent Brunello, very enjoyable but could use a few more years in bottle.

Great vintage. Focussed flavors of leather tobacco & earth, excellent Silky Tannins, but this wine needs 10 years I would guess. I didn't even decant it, so the wine never had a chance to express itself.

A big wine. Needs some time for the tannins to mellow and for the fruit to truly integrate. Tons of dark cherry flavors with mild hints of eucalyptus. A little green. Recommend a long decant or hold onto this for a few years more

Clean brite cherry, sandalwood and shale. Palette of black cherry and leather. Moderately big grip with a lean finish. More about structure than fruit.
