Definitely has gotten better with time, definitely tastes like Ridge with sweet fruit and Draper perfume, but definitely not the same level as Geyserville or Lytton

My impression is that this is a relatively light and relatively early-drinking Ridge Zin. It seemed right for the Thanksgiving table but for some reason clashed with the food, even before having anything sweet.

This is a more serious Zinfandel than some of the other Ridge bottlings. More depth, dark fruit, vibrant nose, tannin in the finish. Plum, black cherry, chocolate, cassis. Bedrock vineyard

Drank the 15 next to the 14, and greatly prefer the 14 - lots more finish and character.

Give this a few years. Needs time to knit together and lose the edges. Passively stored since direct purchase.

Review notes right on. Start with fruit & flavor on palate, finish is tannic, rough that time will not correct, expensive pizza wine

Plummy, balsamic, tannic, a little hot. May unfold into something later, but seems more like a swing and a miss.

Big woody and boozy; seemed very austere compared to typical zin

Tasty, accessible, less structure than some other ridge zins

Ridge Monte Bello Tasting (Ridge Monte Bello, Cupertino): Red cranberry; palate is medium bodied, much less complex than the geyserville but excellent fruit; medium finish. 88

Not particularly memorable. Not bad, but falls short of the rest of the Ridge Zin lineup this year. Weak nose, short finish.
