Splash decanted for two hours, then back into bottle. Sour cherries, tar, hint of licorice, hint of leather. Tannins are fairly fine and well integrated - but still some assertiveness. Some bricking. Good acidity. Masks the alcohol well. Rustic, rather than refined. Relatively good for the vintage. Good QPR. I would drink these over the next 4-5 yrs. I don’t view these as drinking all that well beyond 2028 or so, at least judging from this bottle (but CT window says otherwise).
Wonderful! After being opened almost two hours this wine really began to sing. Fragrant and expansive on the nose, on the palate it was both rich cherry fruit and bitter orange, rounding (still some rough edges) tannins, earth, spice and a iron backbone of acids. The finish was long and balanced. So nice.
I @bravo.solares totally concur!

This has improved over the past 18 months. Drinking in a nice window. Consistent with previous notes, only more pronounced fruit, bitters, and tar flavors. Drink 2021-2028. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 92.

Audozed for 3 hr. Tar, licorice, orange peel, cherries, rose petal. Fine but assertive tannins. Good acidity. Good typicity. Excellent QPR. Paired great with Belotti’s risotto with ossobucco, and then with brasato.

Splash decanted, and left in the decanter for 30 mins. Then drank over the next 90 mins. Tar, licorice, orange peel, cherries, rose petal. Fine but assertive tannins. Good acidity. Good typicity. All for less than $30. Excellent QPR. Should drink well for several more yrs - a decade or so, I’d guess. Very food friendly.

Light bright and on point! There's enough upfront to enjoy this wine today and enough lurking in the background to demand another few years for even greater pleasures. Great QPR (for a Barbaresco...).
I last opened a bottle a year ago and forgot to remember my own advice - wait a few more years (not just 1). Definitely continue to cellar if you can.

The cork is completely blank and this should be an indicator of whats to come. Honest, boring, table wine follows that should be gulped without much thought. A disgrace this is called "Barbaresco".
Farven er lys til medium teglstens rød. Flot farve. Duften skal have masser af luft pt, da den er ung. Klassisk old school nebbiolo duft. (godt køb) This is pure and total class. Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media

Opened and decanted an hour ahead of mixed grill leftovers, and tasted over the following 5-6 hours. Dark, murky garnet color with a crimson hue. The potent nose brings strong petrol and tar notes along with some garrigue, herbs, red roses, and purple violets. The palate is medium-full, square, compact, and heavy, bringing a muddle of red and black fruit and some lingering high-toned tangy notes into the finish, which is tannic and firm. Very well-balanced and vibrant on entry, this nevertheless grew tiresome to taste over the course of the evening. Best with food. Drink 2022-2030. Technical score: 92. Enjoyment score: 90.

This wine needs more time. When first opened it took a while to open up and even when it did there were mixed reviews around the table. Some really liked it but others felt it was too early. As the tasting went on the consensus gelled into "too early" and the remainder was put away for the next day. Day two was ok but day three and four was when it really began to sing. Suggest you decant at least an hour before drinking if you open it before 2022.

Kinda sad I decided to open this (my only bottle). It is definitely endowed with a lot of good stuff, it just tasted very young, even with 5+ hours in a decanter. Still very nice … textbook actually … just will be a lot better if left alone for a while imo.

No surprise in saying this is way too young. Like taking your 4 year old to a profanity, violent and sex laced R rated film. Just wait, their time will come. Color looks like an older wine, but quite muted in both aromas and taste. I doubt this will become a great wine, just enough there to certainly become a very good wine with typicity, especially considering the low $30 price point.

Color shows that orange tinged translucency you might expect on an older wine but is common with Nebbiolo made traditionally. Reserved nose that shows some minerality on night two. Touch of cherry. The palate is also not real expressive but has a great build. Weighty even without a lot of fruit expression. Clean and plenty of acid and tannin. This just drinks kinda closed mostly. I love the build and the classic profile even if the expression didn't jump up to say anything. I look forward to checking back in a few years or more.

Young - let it breathe or better yet, wait another year or two. Nose of herbs and cherry. Woody palate with lots of fruit (cherry) and graphite. Good structure and should age very nicely.

Black cherry, rose, leather, and menthol on the nose. Bright wild berry on the palate with a little earth. Very drying tannins and high acidity make this a food wine only.

Translucent, fairly light appearance. After 90 minutes in the decanter some mentholated cherry grudgingly steps forward on the nose, along with a background note of tree bark. Palate is simple and earthy at this point, but with good intensity, significant tannin, and lots of acidity. Finish is a little clipped, due to tannin, I think. Seems like a decent bet for midterm aging.

Medium intensity nose of mint, raspberry, rose, (more) mint, resiny tar. A tiny bit hot on the nose. Red fruit, earthy palate, with clear tannins and medium plus balance and length. Utterly enjoyable Nebbiolo, very classic and young but highly drinkable, especially with rich food. Served with beef chili. Great QPR, leads me to want to try the single vineyard crus.

I found this to be gorgeous in its own right and especially impressive given the price. For me the nose is dominated by refreshing, cooling aromas of mint and pine, with red fruit in the background. It is a little less refreshing on the palate at this stage, but I found it very enjoyable to drink now and am sure it will continue to evolve for a long time.
