Drank over 3 days. Better each day. Beautiful red and dark fruit, medium (=) to full bodied. Balanced with smooth tannins, long finish. Very well made and satisfying wine.

Back and forth between two decanters 8 times then returned to the cellar for 6 hours. The most impressive Terry Hoage vineyard wine I have experienced from either winery. Upon entry, this bottle announced its power expanding immediately across the entire palate where it persisted for such a long time. There never was a distinct back palate but the finish echoed noticeably while the mid-palate held firm. The fruit is warm and seamless, creamy in texture and intense in a subtle and sophisticated way. So dramatic, a bottle I will never forget.

Dark garnet color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of currants, roasted meat, pepper and plums. Flavors of red currants, red plums and red boysenberries. Medium acidity, medium to firm tannin, full bodied. Drink with air or continue to hold.
My guess was this is the 2015 Saxum Terry Hoage Vineyard.

Saxum Vertical Tasting (Mathias@Michael): Very compact fruit that is somewhat "warm" and the alcohol seems to be a bit too dominating. Some pine and cherries dominate the flavors. Interesting but slightly dominated by the alcohol.

Strawberry, cinnamon, ripe cherry, cream, medium chewy integrated tannins, great balance. Overall it's very good and goes down fast, but lacks some complexity from other Saxum's I've had.
