Last bottle. Deep ruby. Still some residual dark fruits on the nose with coffee/chocolate and a hint of sweetness. Not so much fruit on the palate. Tar, earth present. Still drinking well enough and the development has been interesting. Probably needs drinking up over the next year or so, but not an issue for me!

Took a flyer on this inexpensive Chilean cab, and well, it drinks like one. Not that it's bad, just drinks like what it is, and nothing really more. Purplish ruby color with transparency. Smells like dark fruits, cherry, graphite, and earth. Medium body and finish, medium (-) acidity, and flavors of black cherry, plum, cassis, and a bit of mineral and spice. Forward and simple; it's aight.
Edit: just noticed, 95 pts. Decanter?!? You gotta be kidding me. 😂

Well, I don't know how Decanter gave this wine 95 points. It's very good, but not that level of good. Intense black fruits and spice on the nose. Juicy blackberry, blackcherry, green leaf, green peppercorn and anise spice come through on the palate. the finish is medium. I felt the wine lacks enough acidity to provide proper balance. Having said all that, it is an incredible QPR as it costs only $14.99 in BC, which is the most socialism and most expensive place in the western world for wine. It is worth it to buy a few more bottles.

A nose of some dark fruit and some spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with black cherry, plum, some licorice and spice on finish, a good value. www.winelx.com

This wine has a pleasant, but not complex, nose of moderate intensity, which flows over harmoniously onto the palate, and the balance is good - astringency a little prominent - but the wine doesn't have much aromatic persistence. It certainly qualifies as rather better than 'a good wine' by Peynaud's definition, but I have difficulty understanding it being scored near or above 90. On such a scale how would a fully mature Burgundy of a very prominent vineyard from an excellent year be scored? 140? And if the producers themselves considered it to be a 90+ point wine, they would hardly feel the need to price it to sell at retail for US$9 for 750 mls.. But it is decent value given the price. (And 'residual' sugar, measured at 3g/l, is there to hide something ...... most likely astringency?) I have a second bottle. Not expecting to buy more.

Bought the wine for the 95 Point review to see if it was really THAT good. It wasn't! But it was still respectable. Some herbal aromas and a minty characteristic on the palate (not green bell pepper). Good structure with dark fruit and a nice subtleness about it. Good wine for the money.
PnD violently 2/3 of the bottle. Consistent with previous notes. Pleasant mid-week Cab. No way this is a 95pt wine. Beware the relative scoring of Decanter Magazine.

PnD 1/2 bottle let air for 2hrs. On the purple side of claret dense with clear rim. Leafy minty bell pepper cedar and cassis on the nose. Medium weight with grippy stemmy tannins. Cassis plum bit of fig and lots of pyrazine elements. Must be some Carmenere in this one. Not sure how Decanter got to 95 points on this even allowing for a Euro palate and relative scoring.
Much better on day 2. Pyrazine elements way toned downed. Better fruit integration and balance. +1pt as I probably under-scored it yesterday.

I think that I was a little unfair on this six months ago, it has a black fruit nose and is medium bodied with a decent finish.

Cat urine nose with dark fruit, almost SB like. Does not appear on the palate, but this definitely benefited from a decant.

Violet flowers on the nose. Pleasant black cherry flavors with some mint or resin as others have noted. Not terribly complex but very nice QPR.

Red fruit with an herbaceous background, almost a minty taste. Medium body and a smooth mouthfeel. Moderate length finish with minimal tannin.

Dark ruby. Bright, pure red fruit with little of the telltale Chilean eucalyptus. Hint of herb. Good zing and blessedly little oak. Excellent QPR
