  • So much better than this should be for the price. Plenty of tropical and fleshy fruit, but rendered so austerely and shot through with such crunchy mineral and searing acid that this comes across like Brut Nature Champagne. Bubbles are fewer than in most Txakoli, but the texture of what's there is superfine and pleasing. Wish I'd bought a lot more.

  • Bright with good acidity hinting at effervescence, but pretty simple otherwise. I don't really get the earth and funk from the previous review, but otherwise agree with that assessment. Copper in color, with a tight nose, maybe a little watermelon and wet rocks showing, medium body, medium to medium (-) finish, and flavors of lime, lemon, minerals, and a little unripe watermelon. Simple quaffer for warm weather backyard sipping. I dunno, 84-85?

  • A hint of earth and funk on the front end that takes a bit away from the refreshing qualities imo. Not to a flaw and some might call it of interest. Otherwise very straightforward and definitely on the acidic/lean side here. Not a lot of fruit showing. Will do in a pinch but not a Txakolina to search out.
