Moderate autolysis, sweet and rich and toasty. Ample red fruit, suggests heavy meunier, high dosage. Nothing hugely subtle or complex, but well made. Some seawater. Palate heavy, but supported by adequate acid. Balance pretty good.

Bottle purchased on 01/12. Medium golden color with a solid bead. Pleasant musty nose with mushy apple, yeast; fuller bodied with flavors of citrus, bruised apple, brioche. Very balanced and delicious. Excellent QPR.

Good stream of bubbles throughout glass. Crisp apple and citrus on the nose. Flavor very fresh, certainly a brut but some sweetness coming from the fruit flavors. Fairly acidic. Good champagne. Enjoy the combination of fruit, minerality, acidity, floral qualities.

Nose of raspberry, lemon/lime, yeast, slate, and honey, lots of tiny bubbles formed a slender mousse, same on the palate, medium/big body, good acid, lovely richness and sweet honey taste, paired well with the Smoked Sockeye Salmon, and a silky, long finish, a better bottle than the last one noted.

Pale pink salmon in color; a good and steady tiny bubble stream. Forward & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of fresh strawberries & raspberries with lovely floral aromas, some yeast notes, minerals & citrus undertones. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of sweet strawberries, raspberries & watermelon with yeasty, stony, minerals & lemon chiffon. Lingering crisp dry finish. Drinks quite well at present & has some limited potential for further development with an additional year or two.

Last Sunday Tasting of the Year-Champagne!! (SF Wine Trading Company): Very faint pink atop amber color. Moderately active mousse. Pure strawberry aromas. Light weight, great minerality. Very beautiful and delicate with a sharply etched, very clean, dry finish. Absolutely lovely and probably on balance, my favorite wine of this excellent flight.

Pale yellow color. Light-medium body. Lots of fruits: citrus, tropical (papaya and mango), and melon; as well as some refreshing stoniness and a really pleasing creamy texture. Crisp and refreshing; perfect for an end-of-summer evening outdoors. Beautiful.

New Years' Eve (Pride, Pahlmeyer): Perhaps an off bottle - vibrant fizz in the glass when poured, then goes remarkably flat. Hints of flavor components are there (yeast, light citrus notes) - but overall lacking acidity and verve. No hints of TCA detected.

Big and thick on the palate, almost heavy. Full fruited but not very complex and seemed to use some acidity to give it a better finish. Expressive most like a blanc de blanc but evidently 60% Pinot Meunier. A mixed bag and borderline worth $30.

Tangerine, cherry, peach, orange blossom, chalk, and light toast on the nose. Nice medium body entry to the palate, but seems to finish with a bit too much sweetness to the acidity and mineral, coming off cloying, at least to me.

Qiuite interesting.....mellow yellow in color and with hints of pear and apricot. This champagne has an interested semi-dry woody or nutty taste. Hard to explain but easy to enjoy.

I have had this bottle in my wine cellar since about 2002. I found recently that its drinkability window was up last year, so I drank it last night. Both my son and I appreciated it very much. It went down all too easily and was very enjoyable.

Cellared for a couple of years. Nice qpr Champ., slightly reticent nose. On the palate, more mineral than expected. General citrus fruit to go with background yeast. I perceived low acid (for Champagne).

The Blind Drunks monthly tasting (Rich & Dana's): Rich opened this as a welcoming wine at the December Blind Drunks tasting. Pale gold color. Nutty, cashew and waxy pear notes. Nice bead and weight, with doughy bread flavors and and a light citrus flavor on the finish.

I enjoyed this a lot. Color is a nice medium gold. On the nose, this is very much in the nutty/doughy camp with a hint of citrus in the background. The palate echoes the doughy characteristic with a good spine of citrus and acidity. Has a good heft, and was very enjoyable.
