Not as light as expected. Improved over 1 hour. Apple, dry grape, mild honey and maybe some cherry. Very dark color and looks solid in glass. Can take 2 more years but seems to be close to peak. After reading others, I agree on cinnamon. Possibly blackberry?

Greets with lovely violet florals and follows up with juicy dark berries & cinnamon on the palate. Such a balanced effort to enjoy at the table or by itself. On day 2 the finish is still lengthy and satisfying .

Aromas of blackberry and a slight hint of pepper. Mild acidity (to the lower end) and mild tannins with a smooth moderate finish. This wine is drinking very nice now and will for the next 3 - 5 years.

The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. Hints of raspberry and stoniness. A beautiful full body wine with hints of spice and earthiness. We popped and poured.

Medium purple color. Nose of blackberry and black cherry with a bit of peppery spice and sweet oak coming through. Medium acid and tannin with a smooth mouthfeel and finish. Ripe but balanced fruit. Very nice now but room to grow.

W leftover beef as some asian stew. Yummy dinner, decent combo (the spice had a little clash midway thru with the peprs in the dish). This was good though!, fruit, spice and tannins with medium weight. After 1 hourt this was really good. Drink now as the label suggests.

Dark color, with a dark heart of fruit, and a compelling dry finish, laced with plenty of pepper. It lost the bitter edge it had a year ago. Beauteous.

deep ruby with a hint of purple. Medium intensity nose. Developing. Ripe blueberry, blackberry; jammy. Vanilla, nutmeg, cedar, oak. Dried fruit & leather. Medium body with medium acidity and medium tannin. Medium- intensity flavors of black plum, fig, raisin. Medium alcohol. Very good, drink how, will hold.

An excellent blend. Ready to drink with a good balance of dried fruit and spices coming through while retaining some of its brighter notes. Perfect for a low-key grilled meal.

Tasting room visit - pressed violets, plum, savory spices. A dense core of blue fruit, minerals and savory spices with balanced acidity and fine silky tannin, good depth on the finish. Very nice.

Raspberry pastilles, ripen dark cherries, good funk (warm dirt and straw in an old barn). Chalky tannin that lasts a few seconds and finishes with berry, spice and licorice.

Drinking this three days after opening and that amount of oxygen exposure has really opened up what was a dense, overly firm wine. The nose is a dark fruit explosion in the best way possible, coming through with bing cherries, ripe plums and some raisin. Taste follows with the Syrah smokiness being subdued but still present. It’s structured very nicely with a slightly acidic finish that lingers just enough. Depending on one’s fruit vs acidity preference, this will improve with time, but is certainly enjoyable now after some time open.

A blend of Syrah(35%), Grenache (23%) and Mataro(42%), Blackberries, current, and black olives on the nose lead to a medium bodied wine with medium tannins, dark red fruit, spicy meat, black pepper and a clean finish.

Big, bold and brassy, but not over the top. Actually started out with a little bitter note, but that quickly disappeared and the fruit shone through. Enticingly rough tannins.

Smells of dark fruits jam. Forward fruited on the palate also but not huge feeling. Just big and fresh. Midweight. Fine tannin. The acidity is a wee bit tart. 54/30/16 Syrah/Grenache/Mataro shows up in the overall darkness of the fruit. Not quite as dense or big as you might expect. And it's not reserved. This is a drink in the next few years for best results sort of wine. Makes me think of the Wilde Farm Bedrock in that it's really showing off California fresh fruit. Tasty versus regal.

Nice wine. Very restrained for California - not a lot of oak, some menthol and florals dance on the nose along with the berry and plummy fruit.

Subtle dark fruit and mulberry flavors
Nice balanced flavors, but felt a bit muddled in the finish. Nice, but…
