Medium ruby. Dark fruits, raisins, syrup nose. Medium bodied. I’m not getting much primary fruit on the palate. Earth & dried fruit. A little underwhelmed given the other reviews, but reasonably good wine.

Medium ruby red in color. Full, forward & fragrant nose of ripe fruit aromas of cherries, strawberries & mulberries with overtones of earthy/dusty & floral notes, leather, tar, minerals, herbs & a hint of cedar in the background. Medium bodied with a very good concentration of balanced & smooth textured, ripe fruit flavors of cherries, plums & strawberries with herbs & minerals. Lingering finish. Quite accessible at present with decanting & airing but may continue with further development with a few additional years. A wonderful Chianti.

This is a classic, easy to drink Chianti. I get typical notes of leather, tar, red cherry, violets. Good acid and grainy tannins. It took a few minutes in the glass to open up but I don’t know if I’d waste effort decanting. Delicious with Chinese roast duck.

Dark translucent garnet. Nose of leathery cherry pits, earth, damp cellar, some florals. Layers of dense earthy dark dried cherry fruit and tangy leathery notes on the palate, which took about 3 hours to open up. Nicely acidic and still firmly tannic. Moderately long finish of earth and red fruit. Very good but somewhat imploded wine which might well improve with extended cellar time.

Mørkerød. Mørk frukt. Mye friskhet og noe bitterhet. Faste tanniner. Frukten er litt tilknytt. God balanse. Behøver tid. Har godt av 5 år - da vil denne få et stort løft!

Drinking this made me reflect that what I want in a Chianti Classico might see easy on paper, but is somewhat challenging to actually find it. On one hand, of course I want quality, the usual wine attributes of fruit / acid / aromatics / structure in overall harmony. No Kidding Sherlock. But with a CC, I don’t want this to go too far on the other side as to loose what I love about CC in the first place. That is, bright red cherry fruit, florals, perhaps a touch of leather, and snappy acidity. This a long winded way of saying this 16 CC was terrific and contains exactly what I love about this grape and place. Delicious.

wine comes across very delicious. has savory elements including sweet tomato as well as plentiful red fruits. good but not overwhelming tannic framing and nice acidity. Pretty much a steal of a deal. Perfect for pastas etc, but I managed to enjoy it perfectly well with some cheese and steamed broccoli. Highly recommended.

This is a really beautiful Chianti. I drink very little Chianti because they are mostly boring or gross. This is light and floral with lovely pure red fruits and a gentian edge on the finish. A little orange peel and some patent leather elements on the nose. Nice acidic structures carries from lead to dry down. Balanced and honestly refreshing.
Thanks Wine&HipHop for a club selection I'd never have selected for myself.

Everything you could expect in an artisanally made chianti - with no new oak - in an excellent vintage that gives it quite a bit of structure. Sour cherry fruit. Simply perfect ripeness. Earthy notes. Quite broad. Some tannic grip. Some length. Pretty serious. I would wait a few years yet on this in the hope of gaining a bit more complexity but with the right food this is fit for purpose today. Lovely Chianti Classico. Drink or hold.

Great value—tasty and easy to drink. Nose has a chocolate component that gets a bit Mexican chocolate at times; powdered cumin, pipe tobacco and rich black cherry. Reminds me of Selvapiana in a good vintage. There’s a slight sweet tannic finish here that almost gets young Grenache-y/ Ceylon tea and that convinces me this will age and improve. Love how this is not at all barnyard or hot as may be the case with less ably managed Sangiovese; just awesome, cool, dark cherry compote.

Mørke modne vær på frukt - intens og god.
Men den er forknytt og domineres av tanniner og syre. Litt propolis. Ikke topp flaske? Gir den noe luft.

Very much in-line with what you'd expect for a quality Chianti Classico in a great vintage. Fantastic food wine.

From memory: opened for a family dinner. Excellent with layers of fresh, ripe, “grapey” fruit on the palate.

Enjoyable and easy to drink Chianti. Ripe red fruit with easy-going tannins and enough acidity to hold against an assortment of grilled meats.
Drank great out of the bottle and sells at an attractive price point.
