  • My first Banyuls. Pretty much like a less complex and plummy ruby port.
    Deep ruby, starting to turn garnet.
    Nose of ripe cherries and blackberries, provencial herbs, dried flowers and some raisin.
    Abit grainy tannins. Good acidity and full body as expected. Well balanced, not intruding alcohol.
    Served with basque cheese cake, went alright but this is really wine for chocolate.
