Fruit seems to be fading a bit, but still very much an enjoyable and complex wine. primary red fruit is still showing and tertiary flavors round out the overall package. Drink now or for another 2 years.

The color has some browning now. While it still has plenty of tannins, the fruit is fading somewhat. It still has complexity but some of the original frut aromas and flavors are being replaced by more mature ones resulting in a more elegant and subdued wine. I enjoyed this though my memory of the last bottle was bigger and brighter.

01 Barbarescos Blind (Antico, Chicago IL): Nose: Very perfumed and balanced nose with tones of red fruits, red cherries, roasted herbs, all sorts of roses, tar, and spice tones. There is good depth as well with some layering.
Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium/high acidity and some very big tannins. The structure is very big with layered and balanced tones of red fruits, cherries, roses, and spice tones.
Overall: This is stunning and extremely young. There is room to grow as the structure pulls back, but there is a lot to love right now as well.

Superb, classic barbaresco. Dried red cherry, with cinnamon, earthy mushroom, mint, and tar notes. Still slightly hot on the nose, but subtle and softly tannic on the palate. Paired sublimely with some rustic, home-cooked Osso Buco with mashed acorn squash.

Opened about 5 hours before serving. Dark garnet color in the glass, slightly cloudy. Nose of anise, berries and a bit of florals. Flavors of black berries and a bit of black cherry. Light to medium acidity. Light to medium tannins, light to medium body. Drink or hold.
NOTE: this bottle didn't really perform as expected and therefore no rating. When I happened to smell the bottle I thought I got a slight aroma of TCA but that did not present itself in the glass or on the palate. It just under performed on the nose and palate. Revisited the next day at a different offline and the wine was markedly worse than the day before.

nose: very deep nose filled with tar, dark florals, cherry blossoms, dark cherries, and various herbs and spices. Lovely and classic nebbiolo nose that just evokes that one area of the world that can really make this kind of wine
taste: lush and delicate at the same time with high acid and high tannins providing tones of tar, dark florals, cherry blossoms and herbal spices along with bits of black licorice hot as the wine opens up a bit more
overall: a very young barbaresco. Outstading and should be able to hold for a long time, I'm glad I have another bottle of this. High acidity and very high tannins make this a bit rough at this point in time, but there is a lot to like right now with more of a view to the future

Great complexity for a young wine, and this is indeed a young wine with plenty of grip. On the nose: Dried roses, oak toast, dark & sweet berries that became more prominent over time, licorice, and faint notes of mentholated cherry cough drops. Smooth, with great texture on the palate where the fruit heads more towards cherry, but substantial tannins clamp down on promising close.
Now that I read futronic's note I also note orange blossom. Good call.
Needs 4-5 years. My buddy thought this deserved better than 92 points and he may be right in a few years.

Dark ruby colour with garnet tinges to a pink rim. Aromas of violets, orange blossoms, cherries, raspberries, truffles, and dark chocolate. Medium-full bodied with black fruits, figs, truffles, and currant. Long finish, ~40-50s with black fruits.
