Decant 5 hr. Super briny, garrigue nose- not a huge hit in the group but I loves the soy and savoriness. Plenty of dark fruits, plum and acid to go with the funk.

Double-decanted about an hour before drinking. Although it clearly has the structure to develop for another five or more years, this was delicious to drink now. All of the wild and savage aromas and flavors one would expect from Côte-Rôtie, and Levet in particular. What I love most about Levet's wines is their elegance, which this bottle delivered in spades. If you only have one bottle, hold for a few more years; if you have two or more, open one now and enjoy.

Plum, slight dusty. On the nose ripe cherry, black love and garrique. Mirroered on the palate. Soft tannins, moderate acidity, well balanced. Just starting to hit its stride. Many years ahead. Decanted for an hour befoew serving and that really allowed the wine to open up. Glorious.

Purple, opaque. Fairly muted nose of black forrest fruit and black olives. Decanted for an hour then back into biottle. Bright acidity and sift tannins. Lush full flavoured. Ripe prunes and damsons, black olives, garrique, mushrooms. Long finish. Excellent with mild mushroom and truffle linguine. Just needs a bit more time to open out further but a lovely harmonious wine will emerge.

Deep blackish crimson. Pronouced nose of black olives and blackcurrant. Full flavoured, rich, good acidity and marked tannins, youthful but harmonious and well balanced. Wonderful black olive and blackcurrent flavour, then earthiness and undergrowth creep in. Slightly burgundian. A long, dry savoury fnish. A lovely wine with a long way to run.
