May have lost a little freshness in the last year or two but still drinking really well. Wet leaves, tobacco, blackcurrant, and black tea. Such good value and a tremendous food wine due to its straightforwardness.

A very plesant nose of cherries, forrest and earth. Palate is dry with mouth coating dark cherries and more forrest floor. Allow to open and some nice earthy complexities develop. I appreciate this type of wine very much and it's great with food.

Better than the first bottle. Approachable right out of the bottle, but picked up some weight and got more interesting after 30 minutes in the glass. Floral, bright fruit, nice acidity. Paired with homemade pizza. Good, but not great. My initial comments stand - spend a bit more and get a barbaresco.

Spice and cherry on the nose. Dark cherry notes but light in body. Agree with comments about the drying tannins in it's own but I personally like it. Easily solved by pairing it with food :)

Color is a dusty red/brick. Leathery nose. Light bodied. Some cherry notes, but very dry, not like biting into a juicy cherry. This is a good food wine; fine on its own also. On the 2nd day it has lost a little of its verve but not much - enjoying every sip.

My brother and I Love this wine. Nose - Gary gets tree bark, I'd say fall in New England - think of jumping into piles of dried leaves when you were a kid. Fantastic stuff. Palate - I get lots of tobacco and dried cranberries. Maybe not the most complicated wine but its flavours and dry finish are exactly what I am looking for in a wine. It paired incredibly well with neapolitan meatballs, sweet italian sausage, and ricotta stuffed penne.

Nose: stewed cranberry+cherry, a little leather. Taste: Light in style. Cranberry is the big note, though it finishes with tannins. Needs a year or 2, but very nice, esp for price.

Lighted red cherry and cranberry nose with a hint of leather. Bright light red and yellow cherries and light tannins up front. The tannins die off at the mid-point and the yellow cherries come out with some good acidity, both carry through the modest finish. 13.5%

Not much going on at all. Uninspiring. Spend a few $ more and buy a barbaresco. Have one more to try.
