  • If I understand this right, according to the label, my Bottle numbered OP 293941, was bottled in 1994 which would render this wine to be going on 48 years of age. The CT drinking window was 2017 and warned Past its window, DRINK UP!!" This was wonderful, not the least showing any diminution from age whatsoever, enjoyed by all in our group, not just the more hearty robust aged wine aficionados. I dutifully updated the CT drinking window to 2024!

Dark golden colored resembling iced tea, full bodied, rich, unctuous, notes of smoke, nut, hints of butterscotch, toffee and honey.

  • Port tasting (tawnies and rubys); 3/27/2018-4/3/2018 (Todd's): Iced tea in color. slightly cloudy. The nose has caramel, slight saline with bits of milk chocolate. Interesting. On the palate there is caramel, burnt brown sugar. Slightly sweet. Complex. Although bottles don't get better with age, nevertheless, this was about 18 years old and perhaps has lost some sweetness. Quite enjoyable.
