A beauty. Lots of fruit, very fine tannins, clearly Bevan but oh so refined. Will it get better? Who knows, but you won’t be disappointed with where it’s at

Afghanistan Greg Dinner with the Crew (Wildfire Chicago): Dinner at Wildfire for Afghanistan Greg with Johnny, Chris, Sylvia and Nicole. Chris brought this. This was blue fruit city all night long. Baked blueberry pie, creamy chocolate covered plums and leather. So royal and so incredibly well made. Screamed cult Napa fruit. The palate was endless. Sporting more blue fruit, baked goods, purple flowers and more gorgeous ripe fruit. This is still such a baby - can barely sense any age at this point in its life. Absolutely loving Bevan wines across the board from the first sip to the last. Long long finish. Great tannin structure that has yet to completely come into its own along with integrated alcohol and lovely structure. A textured wine that doesn't quit. Finish goes on and on. Cannot recommend enough. Worth the coin.

Dark purple color with a deep, focused nose of exotic berries and herbs. The palate displays deep, full-bodied, concentrated flavors of blueberry, black currant, and plum layered with hints of chocolate, dried sage, and smoke. Finishes really long and spicy with tannin that's wrapped with ripe fruit, giving it a velvet-coated texture. This wine has superb balance and vibrant acidity, with a structure that makes it good to drink now (with a 30-minute decant) until 2022.

Spectacular. Know Russell’s wines drink beautifully young, but they age even better. Magnificently made cab in a perfect drinking spot.

Big, bold well-integrated tannins. Dominating blue fruits, accompanied by hints of blackberry. Long finish. An amazing wine. Thank you Russell.

Bevan Cellars and Showket Preview (Capagnola Trattoria): 50/50 - Cab Franc/Cab S. Big and ripe showing a bit of oak but on the tight side. Big and soft, on the sweet side. Good dose of tannins.
