Dark ruby. A ripe nose of dark berries, vanilla, nutmegg and toast. The tannins still command the medium body palate full of ripe fruit though lacking more acidity to contra-balance the ripe identity of the fruit. Medium finish awaiting still the taming of the tannins. A "modern" Chianti Classico that still needs time in bottle to solve the tannins. The low acidity throws some doubt whether the wine can handle the wait.
