Wow this is really drinking great. Very pure looking red in the glass--red and black food coloring. Long legs on the bowl. There some wood and fine tannins with bit of a mouth grip. Medium finish.

Dinner at home (Seattle, WA): Wonderful nose. Hints of smoky peat and flowers. I was excited. Alas, the palate is pretty dilute, big dropoff from the nose. Fairly present acidity, and this was at its best alongside roast chicken. I tried it on pop and pour and then followed in the glass for several hours. While it fleshed out a bit it never really picked up the weight I hoped for to make this any more than a good effort.

This bottle was a bit thinner, lacked character of prior bottles. Good but not great.
