Strong example of CA-style syrah that manages to not get overly sweet and maintains a reasonable balance. Berry-forward, but stays far enough away from sweet that it doesn't get annoying. Good tannin/acid balance. Drink it now - it may get more in balance with age, but it really didn't seem to me that it would gain much character in that time period. Excellent summer bbq wine - sure to be a crowd pleaser
