  • What a suprise, good fill, firm cork with little wine up the neck. I was suprised at the deep red color, bricking on the rim but still intact. The nose was gamy with very intense roast meat and blood smells this slowly changed to a tapenade and herb laden aroma. On the palate a mouthfilling wine with excellent length that at first seemed very syrah oriented then became more giving and the grenache character came through. I am stoked to have four more of these. can't beat the price of three dollars either. Not bad for such a maligned vintage.
