Popped and poured. Black currant, mocha, herbs come through. This has a lovely nose. The palate is very concentrated and decadent but a little on the sweet side. Very youthful still. Not sure how this will evolve.

This has changed a bit since the last bottle. The alcohol has diminished but the sweetness is more pronounced. The balance remains extraordinary and drinks beautifully.

Massively Tannic Beast! Popped & poured which was the wrong thing to do but it was the last bottle of the evening and wasn't even supposed to be opened! One of those things as I know this wine is better than this.

Deep dark red color with initial hot, hot nose. Took about 45 minutes for the alcohol to blow off and reveal spice, blueberry, currant, and maybe a hint of dark chocolate. Incredible smoothness and balance of acid/tanin. Not pleased with all the alcohol and wonder what this will do to the longevity of the wine. If you can wait for an hour or two before drinking, this is a stunning wine.

If not for the heat, a 95 pointer easily. How can a wine take 16+% alcohol and not be hot. I love the smoothness of the palate and the black, dark fruit. But its just got too much heat to be a great wine. Still enjoyable, but can we not dial down the alcohol just a smidge here folks?

Corked, but almost drinkable by some. 2nd bad bottle of this in a row!

Outstanding vintage. Drank this next to 2006 Insignia and hands down the Futo won.

If you can get your hands on this wine, it is ready to drink and perfectly balanced.

Outstanding fruit, long finish. Drinking very bold right now. Can drink now or hold for many years. Great vintage.
