Ruby red in color. 15.5% ABV. 85% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre, 5% Syrah and 5% Cinsault. Gorgeous nose of red fruits, blood, asphalt and garrigue. Medium body with perfect acidity. Tremendous balance. Kirsch, herbs strawberry and cracked black pepper on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish. Time has served this wine as well. Markedly better than bottles in previous years. Drink over the next 2-4 years.

Very rich, heavy on the kirsch - and still young - but, but, is there more to come. I don't think so, this one lives from the rich, intense fruit, and while the alcohol is certainly here, it mantains bakance in its own sweet way. Very typical 2009. #cellarinventory

Ruby red in color. 15.5% ABV. 85% Grenache, 5% Mourvedre, 5% Syrah and 5% Cinsault. Heady nose of ripe red fruits, kirsch liqueur, garrigue and roasted herbs. Full bodied with ample acidity and a touch of heat. Concentrated and powerful. Raspberries, cassis, blood and pepper on the palate. Medium length on the finish. Some compelling pieces here but the heat is distracting. Best over the next 2-4 years.

Weekly tasting group #202; C9duP 2009 (@ VD): Beautiful bouquet with cherries, red berry fruits and some coffee. On the palate red berries, strawberries, herbs and spices, a touch of pleasant sweetness, good acidity and pleasant slightly sticky tannin. Elegant wine.

Compared to the last bottle opened a year ago, it is very tannic, muscular, rough edge shown, chunky, lack of acidity to balance, give it some time in cellar

Yes, this was infanticide, but fun never the less. This is quite a pinotesque C9P, with red berries, spice, herbal notes, something a bit meatish on the nose. It's a wee bit hot (15,5% bang), but the fruit is clean (red berries, raspberries, some fig), there's serious minerality, nice garrigue and very good licorice as a twist towards the end. Yes it's a bit young, but with several hours of slow-ox, more than drinkable today. The fruit makes it work, but this is only going to get better as it integrates.

Maturing nicely. Still some fruit, but bottle aging has been great for this wine. We’ll integrated and drinking perfectly.

Too much alcohol (15,5%) due to hot year. One glass of this then it's enough. A disappointment.

A really nice "standard-Chateauneuf".
Herbs, pepper, lots of red fruits, strawberries, candy, sweet licorice...
A fresh and elegant wine.

Nice fruity nose of strawberries and spice. Simple, clean enjoyable on the palate. Medium depth, smooth finish. Feels like a Burgundy. Nice.

Red berries, flowers & herbs - aromatic, seductive, fresh'n'light style, though ending a bit too hot.
