(NV René Geoffroy Rosé de Saignée) ($77.00) The demand is so feverish the wine sells out just as it’s starting to really find its fruit with a year on the cork. I tasted an ’08 cuvée disgorged 12/10, with the magnificently pretty fruit of this lovely vintage. An ’09 cuvée, disgorged the first week of March, has more body and fruit but less flower; richer, more brioche-y, more mid-palate. We’ll see it in the Fall. It does bear mentioning, our most popular Geoffroy wine is also our least dry Geoffroy wine. This in-demand fella is packing a whole 10g.l. of filthy residual sugar. Thanks for not minding!
