(Pierre Gimonnet et Fils "Spécial Club" Brut) ($88.00) Disgorged 11/10. Enticing and still subtle fragrances, green and silver; the palate is so cool and shady and green, both refreshing and complex, and with an oblique density that consolidates into a solid clinging finish, as sweetly vegetable as Gyokoru and as savory as roasted green beans and fennel. A remarkable wine that’s a bit of a rogue variable for this grower. Just for shitz’n-giggles, here’s what I wrote last year:
