(Ciacci Piccolomini Brunello Pianrosso) This was gorgeous upon opening but quicly went downhill. Super nose of Tuscan funk. Earth, cherries, well water, burnt orange and macerated cherries. Complex, deep palate with tremendous sweet fruit and brilliant structure . . . and then just like that . . poof . . . the wine was gone. This was like a 30 minute transformation from a brilliant wine into a wine that seemed like it suffered from poor storage. Weird.
