(Bernard Baudry Chinon "Les Grezeaux") This wine was absolutely stunning. Right out the gates it had an amazing nose of flowers, violets, herbs, tar, tree bark and wet earth. Just lovely. The palate was concentrated, tarry, rich (but not too rich), with perfectly ripe tannins. This wine is just absurdly good and I like it better than Clos Guillot and Croix Boissee today. In ten years it will probably be a whole different story. In the Baudry portfolio this has to be the greatest value.
