(Chateau Latour Martilliac Rouge) COLOR-dark; NOSE-very smokey BBQ action; sour cherry; hint of herbaceous green component (brussel sprout/broccoli); TASTE-huge attack; great green & black olives on the mid-palate; very dry on the back-end; interesting blend of red & black fruit; a big plum component on the intense and dry finish; great structure; GV-no rating
(Latour-Martillac) Phenomenal. Classic nose of scorched earth, tweed, slight cassis, lead pencil, boysenberry and minerals. Rich and impressively sweet for this wine with blueberry fruit, cherry wafting across the palate. Finishes with a sweet fruit/mineral note that lingers. Tannins are silky and not obtrusive at all. This is a beautiful wine.
