(Paul Jaboulet Aîné Hermitage La Chapelle) Bricked dark red violet color; tobacco, talc, bacon fat, light horseradish, licorice nose; mature, licorice, dried berry, garrigue, tart black cherry palate; long finish
(Paul Jaboulet Hermitage "La Chapelle") Tight, funky and unyielding at first but with 45 minutes this turned into a silky, sexy wine with an amazing pillowy mouthfeel and olive tapenade and dark berry fruit flavors and an outrageously long finish. Truly a great and overlooked La Chapelle.
