(Mondavi "Oakville" Cabernet Sauvignon) Great nose of spicy oak, bell pepper, cassis, tar, leather, black fruits. Got deeper and more complex as the night went on. Full palate with nice balance and tremendous richness. Very concentrated. Got that sweet CA fruit. Ripe tannins ... but finishes kind of gritty like a young Bordeaux. Lots of glycerin and fat but does not go over the top. Restrained in it's delivery and ripeness. Very nice stuff and should improve for maybe 10 more years and then hold on for around 7 more.
