Many people are falsely mistaken that Chardonnay is sweet like a Moscato or Rosé, but it is actually made in a dry style.

On the nose, you are enveloped with stone fruit aromas of white peach and apricot along with vanilla laced oak spice, toasted nuts, light caramel and subtle notes of cinnamon, clove, and an underlying light floral note. The creamy richness of this medium-bodied wine boasts flavors of ripe pear and peach.

Stylistically, Chardonnay can be clean with bright acidity or full-bodied with tropical notes and varying degrees of oak. In California, the latter is the more popular style. Sonoma Coast Chards have more acidity.

Some of the world's most revered Chardonnays come from the Burgundy region in France, but regions in Italy, the United States, Chile, Argentina, Australia, and New Zealand also produce good Chardonnay as well.
