The 2009 Old Vines Zinfandel is a blend of old, dry farmed vineyards across seven different California appellations. This is our attempt to craft a wine that represents the aromatic and textural profiles unique to the Zinfandel grape harvested from ancient vines. We utilize the same techniques for Old Vines as we do for all our wines - spontaneous fermentations, no fining nor filtration. The result is deep color, dark fruit flavors, bright acid, round tannin and a lengthy finish.
