In the 2010 Cedarman, Howell Mountain makes its presence well known. Darker than its counterparts Rattlesnake and Dragon, the wine almost resembles a Napa Cabernet. Fruit takes a back seat to lead and pepper. A little heavier, more aggressive than the other Zinfandels, with classic Howell Mountain tannin and gaminess. Cedarman is the dark, brooding strong-but-silent type.
