Each year, our winemakers identify distinctive parcels of fruit that reflect the vineyard from which they are grown.

This small-batch project allows us to create unique, vintage-specific wines that highlight the best fruit from vineyards owned by the Barry family.

The 2017 Single Vineyard Riesling was sourced from our McKay’s Vineyard at Watervale and picked slightly later than we would traditionally pick Riesling in order to deliver a more generous and opulent style. A small parcel underwent cool fermentation in aged French barrels to enhance the texture of the wine.

Winemaking Notes
This wine is a pale straw in the glass.
On first approach, orange blossom opens up to regional Watervale musk followed by grapefruit, lemon tart and citrus aromas.
Well weighted limey fruit driven by zingy acidity.
A generous wine with a pithiness that lingers in a good way. Somewhat racy and tightly wound at the moment but will develop more depth and complexity with time.
