Chantal Tortochot-Michel has revived this important estate in Gevrey Chambertin since taking over from her father, Gabriel, in the late 1990s. Her skillful winemaking has produced a range of lively, fruit-laden wines which are accessible, young and yet promise to develop well over several years.
The jewels in the crown are the well situated Premier Cru vineyards Lavaux St Jacques and Champeaux and a morsel of the king of wines, Chambertin itself.
