On the palate the wine reveals bright red cherry and plum alongside complex tobacco and truffle flavors with a hint of pine. Well-defined yet balanced tannins lead into a lingering finish of more red fruit, subtle nutmeg and vanilla, a product of the wine being aged in premium French oak barrels.
