Gold Medal, 2019 Denver Int'l Wine Competition; Easily a top contender for Value Cabernet of the Year - absolutely incredible value for price in California Cabernet.

Pours dark in the glass, but not heavily extracted. Aromas of dusty black cherry and blackberry are framed in toasty oak. Supple entry with perfect balance. Well-defined blackberry and blackcurrant fruit is beautifully delivered in a ripe, juicy, yet nuanced and balanced framework, amply supported by an invigorating and lively structure. The tannins are fully integrated throughout and support a beautiful, pure, lengthy finish.

Cam Confidential

The 2015 vintage offering from the same winery as our best-selling, 95pt score/Platinum Medal-winning Lot 524, and every bit as terrific.

Lot 643 is a dynamite value from the hidden gem that is the Paicines AVA, just past the Pinot and Chardonnay vineyards of the Monterey Coast on the other side of the Gabilan Mountains, nestled in the gravel and pebble mélange that comprises the alluvial flows of the San Benito River. Produced by a family of third generation growers from vineyards 1,000 feet up in these ancient alluvial washes, sourced from a $40/bottle Cabernet program, and aged in 35% new French oak.
