From the Shafer Release Information:
Vineyards in the Stags Leap District and Yountville. Varietal Composition is 86% Merlot, 8% Cabernet, and 6% Cabernet Franc. Alcohol is 14.9%. Cooperage of 20 months in French Oak barrels of which 60% were new. Growing season was longer than usual and cooler than usual. Harvest was larger than normal.
