This wine was sourced from the north facing Henk Vineyard, sited in the red volcanic soils of Woori Yallock
.
Vintage 2019
A warm, wet spring followed by a dry summer and autumn period has delivered good crops in near perfect harvesting conditions.
Winemaking
A traditional winemaking approach was used to produce this wine – handpicking and whole bunch pressing directly to 500 litre French oak puncheons for a natural fermenta- tion followed by 10 month maturation on lees.
Tasting note
Pale straw with green hues.
Aromatically complex with grilled citrus, white fleshed stone fruit, hints of spice, fresh picked nuts and burnt match all leaping from the glass.
The palate on this wine is flavorsome and vibrant with a seamless acid line holding the wines shape and providing drive and length. White stone fruit and grapefruit citrus fla- vors are complimented with layers of texture from barrel fermentation and time on lees. A delicious wine from a fantastic site.
