This was popped & poured and enjoyed on a warm summer night outdoors. Very perfumed nose with flavors of black and red fruits, spices and hint of cigar box and oolong tea. What is striking about this wine is the silky texture which has a sensual quality to it. The balance is impeccable here, like a ballerina full of grace and finesse. This wine is entering its early drinking window. The 1983 Palmer has always been one of my all-time favorite Bordeaux. It will be exciting to follow this wine’s evolution to see how it compares to the 1983. WOW!

Had this 2 years ago and that bottle was full of barnyard and was very ripe. This bottle is a clean bottle with a very floral nose. Flavor profile is consisted of sweet but fresh red and black fruit, good sap, very silky tannins and with good acidity. This wine is elegant and classy. For a 2009, this is drinking remarkably well but this will continue to improve with more age.

Delicious fresh pineapple and citrus fruits, flint stone, sharp acidity, & minerals. It is the texture of this wine that is always so appealing.
