Thought I'd give this vintage a try, after enjoying the 2005 and 2006 recently. Opened on Christmas Day. Immediately decanted. Red-brown colour, looked slightly 'flat' to be honest. Left for a couple of hours to settle. Very disappointing taste when finally sampled. Flat fruit, not very balanced, too acidic for my taste. Some tannins but lacking real backbone. Wine felt 'floppy' in the mouth. Very short finish. Did not taste like a 5th GC Bordeaux should taste at all. Just glad I hadn't bought a case of the stuff. I'll go back to the 2005.

Light fruity nose with some alcohol present. Soft colour in the glass, with gentle brown meniscus. Left to settle in decanter for a few hours. Nose more red fruit and blackberry after standing. Made me want to 'dive in and taste'. Lovely mouthfeel. Tannins present but seem balanced to my palate. Nice fruit taste. No sense of alcohol which I was surprised at after the nose. Bottle drank well through the evening. Glad I have a few more to sample in the coming years.

My first tasting note so do bear with me. I agree with other comments about the wine being very young and tight at the moment. Had another bottle last night and it needed several hours once open before being anywhere near ready to drink. Slightly acidic and tannic at the moment. Had a couple of bottles in the warmth of summer and they went down a treat. Have just ordered another few cases to be fair.
