  • 2019 RR Poet Alliteration PineBrake Vineyard

This is another great buy from Full Pull. Jeremy Young scores this one a 96 and I'm not quite there right now, but I think this will definitely improve with time. The 2019 RR Poet "Alliteration" is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Merlot with a full-bodied and richly textured profile. Notes of blackberry, cassis, blueberry, pencil lead, earth, cedar, and mint on the nose. There is an intricate interplay of flavors, including blackberry, cassis, tar, wild mint, eucalyptus, vanilla bean, dark chocolate, and espresso. The wine's refreshing acidity provides a high-toned lift on the long finish, echoing with tones of violets, cassis, gravel, and dried sage for well over one minute. A very intriguing wine.

  • 2019 RR Poet Allusion PineBrake Vineyard

Jeb Dunnuck scores this one a 94 and Jeremy Young gives it a 95. Right now, I'm leaning more toward Jeb's score, but I can see this improving with time. A great cellar wine. The 2019 RR Poet "Allusion" is a captivating blend of 65% Merlot and 35% Cabernet Franc. Deep ruby-purple hue and a bouquet of black currant, black plum, violets, and eucalyptus. On the palate, it offers a harmonious blend of flavors, with balanced acidity and fine-grained tannins, featuring black currant, black cherry, and hints of mint and gravel. The finish echoes for a long, long while. Great buy from Full Pull.

  • 2019 Catchlight Reflection PineBrake Vineyard

Decanted 1 hour. Dark ruby in the glass. Medium intensity nose with deep black fruits (black cherry, black plum), spice notes, and minty/eucalyptus notes all follow through nicely on the palate, joined with some very interesting savory notes as well as a good hit of dark chocolate. Nice, dense core and very good length. Very fine grained tannins make this easy to enjoy right now, but could be cellared. Excellent value.
