Opened and let sit for approximately 1 hour prior to tasting. The bouquet is amazing. Loads of tobacco leaf, black cherry, incense smoke, and warm dry oak. There's a compelling black pepper note that emerges with more air. On the palate it's integrated and balanced with silky tannins and tons of roasted plum, ripe tomato, oak, and baking spices meandering across your palate. The finish is clean with the beautiful tapering feeling that I so love.

Popped and poured, shows a pale gold with just a touch of aging. Lots of pear and tart apple at first, with a hint of green apricot. The acid is holding up great, with allows notes of chalk on the palate. Still chugging along, I think this has perhaps peaked but will stay this way for many years.

Showing beautifully right now. Orchard fruit, limes, chalk dust for days. No signs of aging. Bright acid holds the ripeness in balance. Perhaps approaching peak and a long plateau.

5/30/2014 9:53:00 AM - Hello,
Thank you for accepting my friend request! I noticed that you experienced what appears to be a faulty bottle of Gramercy Cellars Lower East Cab and would love to have the opportunity to send you a bottle on us to make up for it. Let me know if that is something that you would be amenable to!
Sincerely,
Emily@gramercycellars.com
