Expressive bouquet upon opening. Starting thin and short for first 20-30 minutes and steadily built up body until tapering after 90 minutes. Roasted aromas of leather, smoke, and meat...a lot going on. Medium+ mouthfeel. Mature brick color with translucent rim. No doubt it was WOTN.

4/4/2022 9:51:00 AM - Hi Matthew,
I’ve been looking through your cellar on Cellar Tracker and noticed you have some fantastic wines, including François Raveneau Chablis Grand Cru Valmur - have you considered joining Antica Terra’s Collective?
We offer hard-to-find wines to exclusive members, curating rare bottles for sophisticated buyers. The enrollment window is about to open for a limited number of new members - I think you would be a great fit, Matthew, so I wanted to tell you more.
Here’s how it works; our founder and winemaker, Maggie, selects a bottle for you each month and twice a year you’ll receive 6 or 12 bottles delivered to your door with the option of a selection of sparkling, white, rosé and red wines, or a selection of exclusively red wines.
A few treasures tucked into the founding members’ spring boxes include a 2011 Marguet Pere & Fils 'Sapience' Premier Cru, Extra-Brut, Champagne, and a 2002 Nikolaihof Vinothek Riesling, Wachau.
If this is of interest to you, shall we set up a time to discuss? Or happy for you to email me directly at daniel@anticaterra.com
Best,
Daniel (Antica Terra)
3/29/2014 6:27:00 PM - Thanks for the note Matt. Funny, moved here from Denver 2 yrs ago, and took my vintage view racking with me from my old wine cellar. JUST FINISHED my wine room on Orange Cty last Sunday, and - knowing that VV racking is less than ideal in an earthquake area -was going to secure all my bottles with wire once I had everything properly organized. Only lost 4 bottles, not bad considering the quake was centered about a mile from my house.
