Middling to dark red at the rim, little evolution in colour since my last note 8 years ago. The nose is still somewhat shy and austere, but the palate has developed nicely: now with sweet fruit (albeit lean rather than plump) it has now begun to hit a sweet spot in its maturity. Sadly I have only one bottle left from the case - I drank it too young :-( .

Dark red - no evolution at the rim whatsoever, closed nose. Very fine but grippy tannins, almost bitter when first opened, after two hours in the decanter it revealed a glimmer of what it might be, racy, medium bodied - but that descriptor does not do justice to its latent power. As tightly wound as a spring; without hyperbole I think this really needs 5-10 years more in the cellar before I broach my next bottle. Not scored, at the moment I have little pleasure in drinking this wine, I hope in the future to have great pleasure, let's see !

Dark red/black, tending to red at the rim, no bricking - muted fruits and graphite on the nose. Hefty tannins dominate the palate, even after two hours in the decanter; slightly hot finish. This wine is currenly closed, it needs more cellar time to re-emerge.
