Per Wine Discount Center - Bodegas Hijos de Juan Gil "Juan Gil" Jumilla 2004 13.99 91/100 - Our score. This one needs a little time to open up, but when it does, hold on to your hat! Produced from dry-farmed 45 year old Monastrell vines, this bargain-priced beauty proffers a deep, concentrated nose of black fruits and licorice set against a lovely woodsy background. There's a dense core of blackberry, cream and toast on the palate, which eventually gives way to a lingering minerally aftertaste. Still enveloped by powdery tannins, this ideally needs six months or so to come together perfectly. Enjoy it with something big and grilled.

Great Sancerre. Harvested riper so doesn't have a grassy taste. Delicious.

What do you want in a wine? This is a simple pure Gamay. Extremely enjoyable. Cranberry. I could drink this all day.
